Thanks for everyone’s help a few weeks ago at The Coppice, where we did a great job clearing the paved paths, removing dead plants in the flower bed and used the brushwood to make a hedge alongside the woods.
This Saturday we’ll be meeting up at 9:30am to tend to the hedge in the Allotments on Glebe Way at the end of The Cemetery. It needs a bit of TLC so we’ll be pruning, mulching and weeding it.
If you can lend us a hand we’d be delighted to see you anytime between 9:30-11:30am
As usual all tools and refreshments are provided.
Hope to see you there!
Many thanks to everyone who helped with the hedge last week. Although we were only a tiny team we managed to get a lot done – and we didn’t get wet !
As we discussed, we’ll be meeting up for another 2hr session at 9:30am in The Glebe Way Allotments to continue weeding and mulching the young hedge.
As usual all necessary tools will be provided, plus refreshments of course!
Hope to see you there 🙂
All help is very much appreciated.
PS. If you haven’t seen the pics of the Homefield Park Gate opening here are a couple of links.
I’d also like to let you know about a Working Party & Bonfire @ the Gatehouse Rd Allotments on Saturday 9th Feb. at 9:30am
Please note these are the allotments on the road to Girton/Oakington. The entrance is on the left before the Beck Brook bridge.
We’ll clearing out deadwood from the hedge and replanting any gaps. We’ll also be picking litter and helping the plot holders have a good tidy up.
There’s some old decaying sheds plus the arrising from the hedge so we’ll have a chance to have a bonfire.
As usual all tools and refreshments will be provided, plus this time we’ll have a BBQ so it should be good fun – don’t forget to bring along a sausage or two.
Looking forward to seeing you.
PS. It was great to see those who came on our anniversary walk. Sorry the date wasn’t suitable for everyone especially as we had great weather for it.
