Annual Walk – Sunday 31st January

If you’re coming on the walk tomorrow please bring you own flask as the big one we usually use has decided to be temperamental – it’s leaking! Let’s hope the weather is like today’s – it’ll be great if it is!

See you at the pump on Histon Green at 10:30am, we’ll head off shortly afterwards along Mill Lane and to the fields to near Joker’s Farm, then returning via the old Cottenham Road to the King Bill at about 12:30 for drinks and lunch a litte after.

Enviro Volunteers 4th Anniversary Walk

Calling all enviro.volunteers – past present and future; their partners, their friends and their families! Come and help us celebrate the 4th anniversary of the enviro.volunteers.

We’ll be meeting up on Sunday 31st January at 10:30am, on the Village Green (by the pump), departing shortly afterwards for a walk through the countryside, stopping for a refreshment break then finishing up at The King Bill at about 12:30 for drinks, followed by lunch at about 1:30pm.

We have been offered some favourable rates with all starters £3, all main courses £7.50 (inc. roast chicken or roast beef or Vegetarian options), all desserts £2.

I’d like to give the pub a rough idea of how many may be dining, so please let me know ASAP if you’d like me to book you a place at the table.

We’ll be stopping for refreshments en route although please note that there’ll only be some rusty piece of farm equipment to perch on so you may want to bring something to protect your clothes. Also, at present everywhere is pretty muddy underfoot so waterproof shoes/boots are recommended – the pub has offered a brush to clean

In true enviro.volunteer fashion you can join in for as much or as little time as you would like – just enough to ensure you enjoy yourself! It would be lovely to see some faces we haven’t seen for a while and to meet some new ones who may want to join us in some of our activities in the future.

Everyone is welcome – please don’t be shy- looking forward to seeing you!
