The enviro volunteers regularly work in the Copse area maintaining it’s ability to provide a habitat for wildlife at the same time as providing an attractive area for villagers to walk through. The copse is a beautiful small area of woodland between the B1049, guided busway and is best entered near the Railway Vue pub.
Working parties at the Copse include
- Wood chip spreading
- Ivy removal
- Tree planting
- Weeding of the hedges.
In 2009 the Railway Keepers’ Hut was reconstructed providing a focus point for village events including a now annual visit from Santa to the village.
